Although I am a student now, I have also been a self-employed massage therapist since 1997. Other work experience includes customer service, victim advocacy, teaching in formal and informal settings as well work-study positions as an undergraduate in the University of Florida computer labs (CIRCA) and the University of Florida Museum of Natural History.

Responsible for promoting our organization to LMTs, maintaining the chapter website and email newsletters, organizing and promoting continuing education seminars, organizing LMT participation in community events.

Assisted Womankind, Inc. in administering an AHEC funded six week course for women in homeless and domestic abuse shelters.

I was responsible for designing and implementing curriculum and lesson plans for two full terms of this certification program. The school was for profit and left when it was no longer profitable.

My first semester back at school after a four year hiatus, an English Major taught me to use Workperfect in the computer labs. I realized a lot had happened during the four years I had been out of school. So I applied for a job passing the required exam and was able to learn and earn.
