Responsible for promoting our organization to LMTs, maintaining the chapter website and email newsletters, organizing and promoting continuing education seminars, organizing LMT participation in community events.

Assisted Womankind, Inc. in administering an AHEC funded six week course for women in homeless and domestic abuse shelters.

 

Instructor. Florida Keys Learning Institute School of Massage Therapy.

I was responsible for designing and implementing curriculum and lesson plans for two full terms of this certification program. The school was for profit and left when it was no longer profitable.

 

Victim Advocate. Domestic Abuse Shelter, Inc.

​1997 - 2000

 

Starting as an over night Advocate, I also worked in the outreach offices as a victim advocate.

 

Fitness Trainer/Assistant Manager. Marathon Health and Fitness Center.

​1993 - 1998

 

I worked here part-time for many years and full-time 1994 - 1995 and after I returned from massage therapy school in 1996 - 1998. I was responsible for opening and closing, assisting with updating the member database and other duties in addition to personal fitness training and once licensed, Massage Therapy sevices.

I was responsible for clerical duties and any assistance the staff required.

Mainly assisted with classifying pottery shards and editing a monograph in a spreadsheet.

​1990 - 1991

 

My first semester back at school after a four year hiatus, an English Major taught me to use Workperfect in the computer labs. I realized a lot had happened during the four years I had been out of school. So I applied for a job passing the required exam and was able to learn and earn.

 

Server, Bartender and Front Desk. Various Hotels, Restaurants and Night Clubs.

Through any gaps in my listed work and education history, throughout my education and until 1998, I was employed as a server or a bartender and once as a Front Desk Clerk in a hotel.
