I mostly took courses for fun, for example: Ceramics, Sculpture and Creative Writing; to fill in my background on a topic for example General Psychology or to try improve my technological skills: Technical Writing, Graphic Design, Photoshop and Desktop Publishing.

 

Florida School of Massage. Certification in Massage and Hydrotherapy.

University of Florida. BA with Honors in Anthropolgy.

My particular interests were in Language and Culture, especially the Latin American area and in Cultural issues in Health.

 

University of Maryland, College Park.

​1984 - 1985

 

I transfered to Maryland because the Computer Science program was better than the program at the University of the District of Columbia. I finally felt challenged by my coursework but sadly left after one year to join my family in the Florida Keys.

I was tracking in Computer Science or Engineering. The first Data Processing course I had taught us to use a punch card machine, the first programming language I used was Fortran and the Engineering Graphics couse I had was all done by hand though the teacher did show us a computer running an early version of an AutoCad type program.

 

Marshall University, Huntington, WV.

 

I went to live with my grandmother for a few months and attended my first semester of college at Marshall.
